501stCast: Episode 105 is hosted by Nicky, Joe and Marcus as they highlight a documentary on the UK Garrison, watch The Last Jedi trailer together and share their initial reactions, cover the new 501st costumes, and then head into troop reports. There’s even a dedicated segment for the Alaskan Garrison. Plus there’s a little bonus audio drama with Joe, Alan Flyng and Derek Lyons called “Enterprising Executor.” If you’d like to get an idea of what the 501st Legion does, this is a great podcast to check out as their troop reports cover all the charity events they participate in and help raise money for. There’s usually some pretty touching stories.

BlastCast: Thoughts on the MNF The Last Jedi Trailer includes highlights and some interesting thoughts on the trailer, porgs, kyber foxes and the Kylo/Leia moment.

Brews and Blasters: Episode 139 features Joe and Chris as they start off with Bob’s Burgers. Then they talk about getting tickets for The Last Jedi, watching the trailer, and the theater they plan on seeing it at. They also talk about Batista and Blade Runner 2049 (spoiler free, high recommendations from both), Topps cards, they dive more into The Last Jedi trailer with their thoughts on it, but not a shot-by-shot breakdown as they might save that for later. Fun episode as always.

Bright Tree Radio: Episode 19 is host by Phil and Sophie as they talk about American football–which is kind of funny, getting tickets for The Last Jedi, what the crawl might be like, and theater experiences. Then they start to get into the trailer. They talk about Snoke, Kylo, the lack of Hux, Finn and Phasma having both lost their last battles and neither being in a position to afford losing again, and who they would kill. There’s a lot of tangents, but there’s also a nice balance between the hosts on the various topics. It makes for a lively discussion.

Cantina Cast: Episode 202 features Mike and Joao as they discuss the new The Last Jedi poster, then dive into The Last Jedi trailer. They talk about who Snoke is talking to, what might be a misdirect, the Kylo/Rey scene and lots of other observations and ideas as they go through the trailer scene by scene. Great audio quality and good observations make this one worth a listen if you’re going after The Last Jedi trailer podcast episodes.

Children of the Force: Reaction Corps – The Last Jedi Trailer goes over the new trailer, all the possibilities with who might be talking to who, and lots of fun discussion. Great audio quality.

Fangirls Going Rogue: Episode 50 is hosted by Teresa, Tricia and Sarah in person from GeekGirlCon. It also features guest Annalise Ophelian as they talk about The Last Jedi wrapping up, J.J. Abrams directing Episode IX, her cosplay as Hera, and her work with the Looking For Leia documentary. They talk about the con, and since this is their 50th episode, they share some of their favorite Fangirls Going Rogue moments and they have listener voicemails sprinkled throughout the show. On top of all of that, for their character discussion, they cover their favorite Rebels.

Fangirls Going Rogue: Episode 51 is hosted by Teresa, Tricia and Sarah as they talk about The Last Jedi poster and the trailer. Afterwards they have on Tiya Sircar, the voice of Sabine from Star Wars Rebels, for a great conversation. They wrap up with a character discussion covering Leia in the book Leia: Princess of Alderaan. It’s not too spoilery so everyone should be fine listening in.

Fauxthentic History: The Infinity Gauntlet Part 2 – The Infinity War continues their coverage of Thanos, his quest for the infinity stones, and his obsession with lady Death. It’s quite the chaotic battle royale of all of the galaxy’s heroes and villains. There are a few audio issues toward the end, however. Otherwise a good episode.

Fly Casual: Episode 157 features guests Steven Petri and Josh as they join the rest of the team and kick things off with Reese’s Pieces and cake. They get a little off the rails but they eventually get to reviews as they cover Mace Windu #2, Star Wars #37, Darth Vader #6 and Captain Phasma #3. They have some fun with Anakin lines in Vader’s voice, and they cover rumors/news with the run time for The Last Jedi, Ron Howard’s latest tweets, and highlights From A Certain Point of View which leads to a lengthy discussion of canon books and their quality or lack thereof. Despite the lack of love for the new canon books, there’s some hilarity in this episode that had me cracking up.

Force Center: The Last Jedi Trailer! features Joseph, Ken and Jennifer as they talk deception, raw untamed power and their favorite moments from The Last Jedi trailer. They share their interpretations of what’s going on, and everyone loved the porg shot.

Podcast Network: ForceCenter, Runtime: 42 minutes, Rating: Great

Full of Sith: Episode CCXXXVIII features Mike, Bryan and Holly as they talk a little about the trailer and the Monday night football game, they touch on the Secrets of the Empire VR experience, then they dive back into the trailer with their reactions to it and some shot-by-shot analysis. I loved the discussion about there being two Lukes. Great discussion.

Geek Out Loud: Episode 220 is the Pass the Corn for October 2017. Steve and Erich start off with a little Inspector Gadget, Fandango bag puppets vs the Quizno subs mascot and some Subway. Then they get into movies as they talk about the Justice League trailer, The Last Jedi trailer, Flash, Inhumans, Gotham, Me, Myself and I, Creed 2, Blade Runner 2049, The Mountain Between Us, Good Night Christopher Robin, Marshall, Geostorm, The Snowman, and they wrap up with movie anniversaries.

Home One Hangout: Episode 34 is hosted by Mike and Ryan, but there’s an audio clip from Matt in the beginning of the episode (his audio clip has a bit of a hot mic issue). Afterwards, Mike and Ryan dig into The Last Jedi trailer. It’s a good, thorough discussion. They also talk about the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 beta, the game Star Wars: Rise to Power and a little Star Wars Rebels. With Matt’s audio clip aside, the episode has good audio quality. Worth checking out.

Lets Talk About Star Wars: Episode 21 is hosted by Tom, Garrett and Jennie as they discuss the trailer for The Last Jedi. They talk about porgs, their experience watching the trailer, who Snoke is speaking to, the new AT-AT’s, the scorch mark on Luke’s robotic hand from the battle on Jabba’s sail barge, whether the ground scene of Luke could be a Force back with the Knights of Ren, the music of the trailer, and a tangent on Chuck Wendig and Ewoks. There’s also some non-spoiler discussion of Leia: Princess of Alderaan. Good audio quality and good hosts. Worth checking out.

Magic on a Dollar: Episode 2 covers Disney news, the cancellation of the Jack and the bean stalk movie, the addition of a Stitch meet and greet, and Dave does a recap of the history of Disney World which is pretty interesting. He also touches on the Keys to the Kingdom tour which you can do. I liked this episode a lot better than the first one. Much easier to follow along with. Good audio quality, too. If you’re a Disney fan, worth checking out.

Rebel Grrrl: Episode 79 is hosted by Amanda and special guest Lindsey Romain as they talk about The Last Jedi trailer. They discuss what was left out, their overall thoughts, the poster, some nice observations about the environments not taking away from character moments, the uniqueness of the crystal caves on Crait and more.

Rock Out Loud: Live Shows features Kristin, Steve and special guest Dylan McManus as they touch on the Vegas shooting and Tom Petty, then dive into their favorite live shows with some audio clips from those shows. There’s some Kiss, Def Leppard, Bruce Springsteen, My Chemical Romance, U2, The New York Dolls, The Struts and The Killers.

Skytalkers: This Galactic Life: Return of the Jedi continues their machete watch series as they discuss ROTJ. They break the episode up into three parts which keeps the discussion very organized (which I love). In part one, they discuss the story, and not a recap of ROTJ, but how it fits in with the narrative of the machete series, and the transition from ROTS to ROTJ, as well as the juggling of the three finales. In part two, they discuss the characters. In part three, they cover listener questions and catch up on everything they might have missed. From whether Lando is a main character, to the special edition ending, Leia’s relationship with Han and Luke, Leia remembering her mother somehow, Figrin D’an vs Max Reebo, and the Hayden Force ghost, they cover a lot of great discussion points in this episode. Plus they have great audio quality.

Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels: Episode 39 features Dennis, Taxus and Jay Krebs as they talk a little about the book From A Certain Point of View, then they head into the news, The Last Jedi being wrapped, the return of Forces of Destiny, Jay has her “That’s So Wizard” segment covering fashion stuff like makeup, nail wraps and slam balls. Afterwards they talk about their favorite Rebels with guest Mike McDonald (The Sandcrawler) and then they discuss The Last Jedi trailer. Good audio quality, great hosts and fun discussion.

Steven and Stephen on Steven: Arachnophobia is hosted by Steven, Stephen and special guest Jessica as they start off with the movies they’ve recently seen, including It, mother! and Blade Runner 2049, then they move on to their main discussion – Arachnophobia. If you haven’t listened to this podcast before, their main focus is Steven Spielberg movies, and in this case he produced Arachnophobia. Unfortunately this episode suffers a little as they’ve tried to record this episode a couple times with several failures, so the discussion didn’t feel as thorough and as good as it could have been since it’s a discussion they’ve done several times already.

Superhero Therapy: The Psychology of Harry Potter is hosted by Dr. Janina Scarlet and Dustin McGinnis as they tackle the psychology elements of the Harry Potter franchise, which gets pretty interesting. They talk about the correlation between Dementors and depression, how you can use Harry Potter to help in therapy, the use of boggarts in relation to fear, the separation of the houses and the similarity to the competitiveness in colleges and private schools. If you are a Harry Potter fan, this one is a great listen. It’s informative, but it’s not dry. They do a good job of engaging the listener’s interest. Plus they’ve got good audio quality and good hosts. Excellent debut episode. I’m also marking this one as my pick of the week as it was a clear standout.

Talk Star Wars Daily: Episode 10.12.17 includes some Mac woes, highlights from a recent interview with Rian Johnson, information on the IMAX shots for The Last Jedi, control over the trailer and Carrie Fisher’s input on Leia. Excellent sound quality and production.

Very interesting insight. Marc also touches on Filoni’s comments on Rebels.

The Imperial Senate Podcast: Episode XVII is hosted by Charlie and Nicky and features guests Tyler Westhause and Saf as they talk about The Last Jedi trailer. From trickery and deception to the themes in the trailer and the salty foxes, it’s a fun and casual episode.
