In movie news this week, the 1988 film Willow was released in blu-ray for the first time. The film stars Warwick Davis and Val Kilmer, was directed by Ron Howard, and based on a story by George Lucas. If you look closely while watching the film, you might also spot Kenny Baker (R2-D2) as a Nelwyn musician.

Kick-Ass 2 has a red band trailer out now courtesy of MTV. The release date is now set for August 16th.

Star Trek fans can check out the second trailer for Star Trek: Into the Darkness.

Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid shared his experiences at Star Wars Celebration VI and playing the Emperor in Star Wars with SciFiNow.

Renown artist Drew Struzan (whose done numerous work for Star Wars) literally sat down and spoke with BeyondTheMarqueeShow for an interview which you can check out here.

In related television news, fans who were eager to see Star Wars Detours may have been let down by the recent announcement that the show was being put on hold, but there is some hope that we may see it yet.

There’s also some very positive news from Tvline regarding Dave Filoni and the future of Star Wars…

Disney Channels Worldwide boss Gary Marsh also said the company is “working closely with LucasFilm, Kathleen Kennedy and director Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) to explore new Star Wars content for our platforms,” to be detailed later this year.

In video game news, Kotaku is suggesting Star Wars: First Assault might really be a precursor for the ill-fated Star Wars: Battlefront III. They also have some leaked footage from the game.

In book news, Kevin J. Anderson and zombie fans who have not checked out Death Warmed Over can now do so for just $1.99. This is a steal of a deal for a very fun book. I highly recommend checking it out.

Word Balloon also has a podcast interview, but with Tom Taylor and John Ostrander which is worth checking out.
