Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Backseat Book Club: Episode 24 features an interview with author Matthew Stover who digs deep into the themes he likes to explore in his books. Most notably, they cover his Acts of Caine series and the first book, Heroes Die, but they do briefly mention his tie-in work, including Star Wars. It’s a revealing look at what makes him tick as a writer and his interest in violence. He also mentions a few projects he is currently working on: a hard boiled detective novel which he is finishing up, a tie-in novel which he’ll be working on next, and a return to the Acts of Caine series in the near future.

Coffee with Kenobi: Book Chat with Martha Wells episode has a nice interview with the author of Empire and Rebellion: Razor’s Edge. Martha reveals the different aspects she strove for with the characters, the areas she wanted to avoid, how her fanfic work affected the story, and a whole lot more. Curto Burns Collectors Cast: Episode 12.2.2013 covers some toy and collecting news, they catch up with Steve Sansweet, and discuss some upcoming Star Wars pieces collectors may want to pick up.

Radio 1138: Episode 2 covers a lot of ground as hosts Mark and James cover the world of Star Wars, their trip to the US and to Rancho Obi-Wan along with coverage of Steve’s big Guinness World Record party, plus the Winter Memorabilia show (a UK convention). Pretty cool hearing about all the Star Wars places they went to visit on their trip, and definitely worth listening to if you’re looking for ideas for your own Star Wars vacation.

RebelForce Radio: Lightspeed – The Best of David Prowse is a collection of interviews that Jimmy Mac and Jason Swank have done with the Dark Lord himself over the years. Some of the interviews I haven’t heard before, but long time listeners will probably know them all. Either way, it’s a nice dose of David Prowse as he pulls back the curtain on being Darth Vader.

RebelForce Radio: Episode 12.6.2013 is there holiday episode complete with Star Wars themed Christmas songs, the latest rumors, and a heavy dose of Lando as they dive back to the good old days of The Jeffersons.

Star Wars Report: Episode 114 has an interview with David Collins. Riley takes a different approach to the interview and it becomes a very free flow discussion. They touch some on how David started with LucasArts, his work on the games, the music of Star Wars, being at Star Wars Celebration, the Holiday Special and more.
