Artist Ryan Kelly has some cool pics on his flickr page showcasing some of his work on Dark Horse Comics Star Wars series.

Part three of The Death of the Necromancer by Martha Wells is now up online.

Author Christie Golden is heading to China. The trip is part of a promotional tour by Blizzard Entertainment and China’s New Star Press who are publishing World of Warcraft and StarCraft novels including books by Christie Golden. Christie will be signing at CapitaMall Crystal, Beijing on June 21, City of Books on Nanjing Road, Shanghai on June 23, and at Nanshan Book Mall in Shenzhen on June 25th. If you are a Christie Golden fan in China, this will be the perfect opportunity to meet her.

While roaming the web, I came across this cool video interview with Star Wars author Timothy Zahn from Starfest 2013. Tim talks about what could happen to the Expanded Universe, writing Scoundrels in just three months, and more. It’s a nice interview and worth checking out.

In comics news, writer Tom Taylor is stepping up to takeover DC Comics Earth 2 with issue #17 in October. I loved what Tom did with Injustice: Gods Among Us, so I’m certainly looking forward to this. Tom weighed in on his thoughts here.

Kevin J. Anderson fans might want to check out the Death Warmed Over eBook sale (just $1.99). Offer is good till June 25th.

Also in book news, Steve Perry sci-fi story Stellar Ranger is now available as an eBook.

Author Drew Karpyshyn will be heading to San Diego Comic Con so if you’re heading there, be sure to stop bye and say hi to Drew. If you can’t make it out to SDCC, he’s also planning on going to Gen Con though he hasn’t tied down the details yet. Gearing up for the release of his new fantasy series The Chaos Born Trilogy, Drew has done some radio interviews which you can check out here and here.

Yodanews posted a nice video interview with Chris Alexander, the man behind Star Wars Origami.

Amid Star Wars toy news, this piece caught me completely by surprise: a Boba Fett Evel Knievel figure for SDCC.

Awesome Toy Blog has the full scoop.
