Kicking off this week’s Star Wars news is the world’s largest Star Wars toy: a 46,000 pound LEGO X-Wing.

In other news, EA revealed that fans will get their first glimpse of what’s to come for Star Wars at E3 next month.

Denver Comic Con is fast approaching and Star Wars artist Gabriel Hardman revealed he’ll be there and he’ll be doing sketches (details here). Also in attendance will be author Kevin J. Anderson who is debuting his new comic Stalag-X (and Dave Dorman is doing the covers).

Author Matthew Stover posted a guest blog on Orbit Books which breaks the norm by listing a bunch of interesting notes pertaining to stories, writing, and thensome.

At the top of the headlines, the first special of LEGO’s The Yoda Chronicles will air May 29 on Cartoon Network and Teletoon at 6:30 PM EST. (via Star Wars The Underworld)

Author Aaron Allston was spotted out on safari. According to reports, he’s organized an ambitious expedition to capture the elusive chupacabra. Although there are rumors that it’s really Aaron Allston’s evil twin whose traveled here from another dimension to eliminate all his other selves who have been stealing his story ideas. Kicking off with a little book news, upcoming Star Wars author Martha Wells revealed that she has almost finished work on her Leia novel which will be part of the Rebels series.

I’ve managed to stick to my writing goal, which is really good, as the Star Wars book is due by January 31. I should hopefully be done with the first draft in the next ten days or so, then be able to get a bunch of revision done before I send it in.

Meanwhile comic cover artist Stéphane Roux has teased another image of a possible new Star Wars series. This is in addition to last week’s image. Continue Reading Around the Web…
