Comicosity posted an interview with Legacy writers and artist Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman covering the upcoming relaunch of the series.

The cover for Legacy #1 features some characters we have yet to meet. Can you shed some light on the cast that will be surrounding Ania in the series?

CB: Ania’s confidant and closest friend is a Mon Calamari refugee named Sauk. Ania also has an old friend named AG-37, a decommissioned assassin droid that keeps an eye on her welfare. And of course Star Wars: Legacy wouldn’t be Legacy without Imperial Knights!

And here’s the news…

George Lucas made an interesting headline this week with his appearance on CBS This Morning announcing that he’s going to start a museum (didn’t we all here Indy yelling “It belongs in a museum!”). You can check out the video here.

In the better late than never category, Chronicle Books had a nice write up on the making of the cover for Vader’s Little Princess. Written by Jeffrey Brown, who also did Vader and Son, Vader’s Little Princess will be out on April 23rd.

In non-Star Wars movie news, Harrison Ford is doing Anchor Man 2 alongside Will Ferrell; Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan are rumored to be in for Justice League; and Iron Man 3 has new trailers and movie posters out.

If you missed out on the Star Wars panel at Emerald City Comic Con (which featured Randy Stradley, Brian Wood, Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman), you can check out the full video of the panel here. Continue Reading Around the Web…

Jedi Journals Interviews Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman

Jedi Journals did an interview with the creators behind the next installment of Dark Horse Comics’ Star Wars Legacy series: Corrina Bechko and Garbriel Hardman. The interview covers a little bit of their background, how they got the offer to do Star Wars, their creation process and more.

Gabriel, could you share a little about your art style and technique? How long have you been drawing Star Wars (since you were a kid? 2 Months? Whatever! :)

Gabrial Hardman: Well, I’m sure I’ve drawn Star Wars pieces here and there over the years but I started drawing on the series in earnest a few months ago. Much like drawing Planet of the Apes, it’s a great feeling to have a fully developed sense on the world going in. If something doesn’t feel like Star Wars, it doesn’t go in the book. Most of the ships and planets in our Legacy are new or evolutions of previous designs. When designing for Star Wars, I’m always asking myself if it will fit with the work of Ralph McQuarrie, Joe Johnston and Nilo Rodis.

If you’re near Roanoke, VA this weekend, be sure to stop by SheVaCon. Star Wars author Aaron Allston will be there and to maximize your Allston experience, Aaron has posted his full schedule here.

With all the rumors going about on who will be starring in the Star Wars spinoff films, author Timothy Zahn weighed in with Hollywood.com. He also talked a little about Scoundrels. You can find the full interview here.

Also in interview news, Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman, the creators behind the upcoming Legacy comics, spoke with Geek of Oz on Legacy: Prisoner of the Floating World. They give some hints on what readers can expect from the new ongoing series as well as talking about Ania Solo and her mysterious heritage. It’s definitely worth checking out.

In other news, Tom Taylor killed Lois Lane while a helpless Superman looked on. If you haven’t been following Injustice: Gods Among Us, you can catch up here. IGN interviewed Tom to get his opinions on killing Lois Lane, torturing Superman, and blowing up Metropolis. Hmm, maybe Tom’s threat to build superweapons wasn’t just a jest after all.

The Who song “Pinball Wizard” may take on a new meaning now that Star Wars is getting a pinball game. Just announced this week, Star Wars Pinball will be launching this month as downloadable content for several platforms. The game will kick off with pinball tables modeled after Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. There are also seven more themes in production and will all be announced this year.

https://i1.wp.com/i1141.photobucket.com/albums/n589/roqoodepot/star-wars-legacy-revival.jpgStar Wars Legacy is coming back, but this time with a new creative team. Comic Book Resources has an exclusive look at the first cover. Sadly, John Ostrander and Jan Duursema are not attached to the project. Instead comic writers Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman will be telling the story. Cover art for issue #1 (shown on the left) is by Dave Wilkins.

As far as the storyline goes, CBR revealed the following: “…this comic will carry the Skywalker bloodline in a new way. Namely, the series lead will be a young woman who is the great-granddaughter of original movie characters Han Solo and Leia Organa! While the pair have born twins in the previous expanded universe tales, the status and the outlook of this new face remain unknown.”

UPDATE: Randy Stradley has confirmed that this will be an ongoing series.
