Star Wars Adventures #19 kicks off with a Clone Wars story starring Rex, Obi-Wan and an unexpected droid ally. “Roger Roger” is written by Cavan Scott and is a fun little story with an unexpected twist. Rex and Kenobi have fought plenty of clankers, but it’s not often they gain an ally amongst the Separatist droids. The art’s not too bad. It’s very cartoony, a bit exaggerated, with bright, crisp colors.

That’s followed up with a new Tales From Wild Space written and drawn by Nick Brokenshire. “The Big March” has a framing story about how the adventure is the journey, not the destination, and the main story follows the unfortunate adventure of a Separatist battle droid. The B1 gets stranded on a hostile alien world and has to deal with all sorts of creatures who mean it harm. Again, a fun little story but with a very different art style. The coloring in this one is much more pastel, but with plenty of details and some weird looking aliens. It’s interesting and works well with the alien environment.

Taken together, both stories are pretty good and make for an enjoyable read. I give this issue a four out of five baby nexus.
