The war continues in Injustice Gods Among Us: Year Two #10 and big changes are underway. Hal and Guy face off, Ganthet enters the battle, and Gordon makes his last move. It’s an emotional chapter of the war, but so far there’s no clear winner yet.

Things start off with some Green Lantern controversy. Guy tries to talk sense to Hal, but Hal just goes nuts and is tricked by Sinestro. Meanwhile Ganthet enters the fray and shows off some impressive powers.

Elsewhere, Gordon and Cyborg duke it out in the Watchtower. Gordon, backed up by super strength, has to stop Cyborg before he finds Barbara. In his last moment of glory, he takes down Cyborg just in time. But with the Lanterns in chaos, Sinestro scheming away, and Batman and company in charge of the Hall of Justice, the sides are still too evenly matched to call a winner. Where will things go next?

There’s a lot of good artwork in this issue. The colors are bright and vivid. The character depictions are spot on for the most part. And while the Gordon scenes were touching, it was the Sinestro scenes that really impressed me. I love the series of panels where he offers Hal a ring of fear. The mischievous grin on his face. Hal’s consternation. Then the panel framing Carol through the ring. That was an excellent move highlighting Hal’s choice of Carol through the acceptance of the ring.

With an excellent story and artwork, I give Injustice Gods Among Us: Year Two #10 a five out of five metal bikinis. There were some great character moments in this issue, one of the strengths of the series.
