Doctor Aphra #38 turns into a reunion as Triple Zero and BT-1 show up as torture specialist to assist Vader in working over Aphra’s dad. Not the typical family reunion, especially since the droids have been mind wiped.

With everyone together, the interrogation gets off to a bumpy start until Aphra’s dad realizes they’re after info on the rebels, which he doesn’t like since they litter in temples. He tells them the last shrine he saw them at, which gives Vader a lead on where he’s heading next. He brings Aphra and her dad along. While the Aphra’s find clues on where the rebels were coming and going, Vader finds some Force zombie spirits. He orders the whole place destroyed, then orders BT-1 to kill one of the Aphra’s. He takes off, and of course fate intervenes and saves them from death. But their rescuer is Tolvan and she seems intent on killing Aphra.

The art is okay. At least there wasn’t a bunch of Veers in this issue throwing things off. The story was a bit better. Not a huge improvement, but a definite step up.

Overall I give this one three out of five metal bikinis.
