Doctor Aphra meets General Cracken and offers her a deal. Along the way, there’s a reunion with Tolvan, but ultimately it’s up to Aphra to choose where her future lies. Will she work with the Rebellion or go her own way?

First off, there are a lot of artists credited in this comic. Somebody somewhere screwed up a deadline as it’s pretty abnormal to see that many names when this is just one story and not several split up between different artists. As such, the art is the weakest part of this comic. It shows. Some panels are more details than others. Some looks rushed. The artwork and the coloring show signs of artists not giving the artwork the attention it deserves. The comic and the story suffer because of it.

The story is okay. Aphra and Tolvan are on bad terms as Tolvan is seriously mad at her. Cracken tries to pitch Aphra on using the Farkiller tech to assassinate Palpatine, but all Aphra hears are the worlds of her dead mom. To her, the Rebellion sounds hypocritical, and she apparently doesn’t want anything to do with it. The story ends with her leaving.

With a descent story, and artwork that really hurts the story, I give this issue a two out of five metal bikinis. It just feels like something went wrong with this one and it didn’t get the attention it needed to fully bring this one to life.
