Paul Kemp and Frank Parisi: For just about the best tweets we’ve ever seen. Um, NSFW, but trust me, they’re goodies.

Jedi News: You will soon have two places to find out what the 501st is up to.  Jedi News will also be carrying the Databurst.  Also a shout out to Nicky of the 501st for facilitating this sharing between Roqoo Depot and Jedi News.  You can check out Jedi News here.

John Jackson Miller: He’s my new best friend.  Yay for a new Obi-Wan Kenobi book.  And it’s a hardcover.  Be still my heart.  Check out JJM’s blog, Faraway Looks.

Think Geek: For this great bottle opener.  I need to get one of those… for my IBC rootbeer.

Tosche Station: Great interview with Her Universe creator and voice of TCW’s Ahsoka Tano, Ashley Eckstein.  Ashley talks about what voicing Ahsoka means to her, upcoming Her Universe products, and the rising presence of female fans in the Star Wars fandom.  The interview begins at 28.30 and you can access the interview here.

Speaking of interviews, Bombad Radio has an interview with author Dave Wolverton.  Among other things, Dave reveals that he once taught writing to Stephanie Meyers.  Or at least tried to.  You can catch that interview here.

Jennifer Livingston: The CBS WKBT News anchor was bullied by a non-viewer over her weight and she didn’t take it lying down.  October is Anti-bullying Month, and Jennifer’s message is spot on about this issue.  As part of a fandom (including Ashley Eckstein) that recently stood up to a very public bullying — and will continue to do so —  we applaud Jennifer and stand with her against bullying all its forms.

J K Rowling: for floating the idea that she’d like to do a director’s cut on two of her Harry Potter books.

“There were a couple of the Potters and I definitely knew that they needed another year,” Rowling told the BBC arts editor Will Compertz. Her last Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, came out in 2007.  “I had to write on the run and there were times when it was really tough.  “And I read them, and I think ‘Oh God, maybe I’ll go back and do a director’s cut,’ I don’t know.  There were a couple of the Potters and I definitely knew that they needed another year.”

You can catch a video of J K Rowling on BBC News.

And our shout outs this week go to…

Jedi News for their interview with Bill Slavicsek, writer and editor behind the Star Wars West End Games material, and a director at Wizards of the Coast.

Paul S. Kemp whose next Egil and Nix story A Discourse in Steel is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

FANgirlblog for their interview with Darth Internous who many will know from the Star Wars Books Facebook page.  Darth Internous aka Tom Hoeler gave some interesting insight on what it’s like to work for Del Rey and with the Star Wars Books team. Definitely worth checking out.

EUCantina for their interview with Haden Blackman, the writer for Darth Vader and the Ghost Prison.

Steve Thomas for his amazingly cool Star Wars themed vintage travel poster art.  Here’s an example and you can see the rest on his website.

The Rumor that Matt Stover is taking over for Karen Traviss with Imperial Commando.  We still don’t know if it’s true because it hasn’t been confirmed or denied.  But it sure provided some entertaining WTF moments out there in fandom.

LightSaber Rattling: for posting the TCW CVI Premier Press Conference.

Star Wars Books: for giving us a Jaina Solo trilogy; Sword of the Jedi.  We think it’s the perfect time to star Jaina in her own series.  She’s at last grown into a Jedi master, and she’s married her guy — finally.

Now how about giving us the Zekk-Taryn hookup/romance and wedding?  And what really happened on Relephon anyway?

How can you not fall in love with this?

Fangirl Blog: I love you just for posting this picture alone.

Roqoo Depot: Yeah, yeah I know it’s my own blog, but my co-admin, Skuldren, deserves it.  Not just for doing all the blog work at CVI (and he did a lot), but for bringing me back some serious loot.

To Drew Karpyshyn, James Luceno, Tim Zahn, John Jackson Miller and Troy Denning for graciously sitting down with Skuldren at CVI for interviews.  A special thanks to Drew for forcing some hapless person to take a picture of him with Skuldren.  We love you guys!

Utini Shout Outs!

to all the folks at CVI who are busy tweeting the news so those of us who can’t be there know what’s going on as soon as you do, a very big thank you.  There’s too many of you to name individually, but you know who you are, and your efforts are much appreciated.

As You Wish Foundation: for their very cool charity event for Make-A-Wish: 20 mobbed Boba Fett helmets that will be displayed at CVI and then auctioned off on the Make-A-Wish eBay store.  If you’re not in Orlando right now, you can get a look at the helmets over on Syfy’s Blastr.  You can find out more on As You Wish Foundation Facebook.

Nasa: for designating the site where Curiosity landed on Mars as Bradbury Landing in honor of scifi author, Ray Bradbury.  The announcement was made Wednesday on Bradbury’s 92nd birthday.

Whoever Came Up With This Costume At CVI:

What’s not to love about an Artoo-Bender mashup?
