Art News

  • Tsuneo Sanda has a special art print for sale featuring Rey. Proceeds are going to Support Disaster Areas by Hurricanes and Wildfires.
  • Dave Dorman also has a couple prints for sale, but they are very limited. One is a Star Wars print featuring Rey and BB-8 on Jakku, the other features Pennywise the Clown from the new It. It’s creepy and awesome.

Book News

  • Unbound Worlds has an interview with author John Jackson Miller touching on his Star Wars work for From A Certain Point of View and Canto Bight.
  • Behind the Books posted a cool video that features Erich Schoeneweiss who talks about some of the behind the scenes business with the production of the Star Wars books.

NYCC had some nice reveals over the weekend including a new Thrawn book by Timothy Zahn.

THRAWN: ALLIANCES. In this new adventure, Grand Admiral Thrawn joins forces with the one and only DARTH VADER.

THRAWN: ALLIANCES will be out next summer, and is will be available for pre-order from all of your favorite booksellers in all your favorite formats within a few days.

Book News

  • USA Today has an audio excerpt of John Ham reading Paul Dini’s short story from From A Certain Point of View.
  • StarWars.com has an interview with author Claudia Gray covering her book Leia: Princess of Alderaan.
  • Edelweiss has two new interesting Star Wars book entries. On is for an untitled Jason Fry hardcover that’s 96 pages long and will be out March 27, 2018. It’s listed as a “replica journal” and “juvenile fiction” so this might be similar to the Rey journal that was done for The Force Awakens.

Follow the next adventure in the Star Wars saga in this first person narrative. This book for tweens will feature a first-person account from one of the main characters of the second installment in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Format includes foldouts.

There’s also a book called Star Wars: Poe Dameron: Registro de Vuelo by Michael Kogge that is specifically for Spanish speaking fans.

  • Christie Golden has written a short story tied into an upcoming VR videogame called ARKTIKA.1. You can read an excerpt here which includes pre-order links for the short story.

Book News

  • Del Rey has been posting special “social cards” for From A Certain Point of View. They’re neat little image teasers with snippets from the book. There is one for each story.
  • We now have a release date for Star Wars: The Last Jedi novelization by Jason Fry. According to edelweiss it will be released on March 6, 2018. The hardcover will also be 304 pages (as of the current listing). The three month delay has some speculating that there will be a significant revelation/twist in the movie warranty the extra bit of secrecy.
