Good episode to check out if you’re on the fence about reading the book. They do a good job of giving you a feel for the book without spoiling it.

Talking Bay 94: Episode 43 features an interview with author Troy Denning who talks about his first published work, writing for the Star Wars for West End Games, his first novels, coming back to Star Wars for the New Jedi Order and how that whole project worked with all the authors and stories. He talks about Tatooine Ghost and being tasked to write a character relationship book rather than a plot action heavy story, his inspiration for Dark Nest and how that led to Legacy of the Force, and how Crucible was setting up a new phase for the EU. He even mentions that he would have had a trilogy after Sword of the Jedi. They wrap up with what he’s been currently working on, his Halo novels. Great interviews. Definitely one to check out for EU/Legends fans.
