Movie & Television News
- Bob Iger confirmed this week that the next Star Wars movie (2022) will be David Benioff and D.B. Weiss’. He also hinted that there will “probably” be a third live-action Star Wars TV show released prior to Benioff and Weiss’ movie. While it’s been rumored that Benioff and Weiss will be doing a trilogy, it’s not confirmed that the three unnamed Star Wars movies we have release dates for are all theirs, and how they plan on integrating Rian Johnson’s proposed Star Wars trilogy into the release schedule. Lot of news yet to come in regards to that.
- There’s a teaser out for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
- Okay, this one doesn’t look great, but I’m interested in Dreyfuss’ character, plus it stars Gina Carano who will be in The Mandalorian.
- If you like submarine movies, there’s The Command.
- And if you like astronaut movies, there’s the Astronaut.
Toy & Collectible News
- Star Wars Celebration Chicago attendees who missed out on merch will want to check their inboxes as emails went out this week giving attendees a second shot at buying stuff. Just check the email, login, and you can buy online the t-shirts and other items that were offered at the Celebration store. Shipping is expensive, though, so there’s a cost for skipping that massive store line.
- Jedi News brings up a good point, with the US-China trade war, we may see an increase in prices with toys coming from China.
- PSWCS.org raised over $10,000 for charity during Star Wars Celebration Chicago. They still have some medallions available if you’re interested.
