We Know Nothing: Episode 3 is my first venture into Game of Thrones‘ podcasts. Having just finished binging all seven seasons, I needed a podcast to subsidize by GOT fix, and with all the great podcasts the Retrozap network has, this one seemed like a no brainer. It’s hosted by Joe Tavano (Brews and Blasters) and Kevin Rampelberg. Their coverage of the show starts with season five, and they do discuss the content of the books some, so if you’re avoiding books spoilers for some reason, that’s a good thing to keep in mind. In this episode they discuss their initial thoughts for the premiere of season five. They breakdown the events of the episode, go over the highlights, and point out some of the differences and similarities with the books. Good episode and good discussion. Keep in mind this is their third episode and their latest episode is 27 (season 7, episode 7) so this one is way back in the catalog. Not sure if all of their episodes are this short, but I like the 30 minute format. It hits the right points without being too drawn out or too time consuming.
