Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Blast Points Podcast: Episode 108 kicks off with some The Last Jedi stuff, Solo pics in France, then they get to their main topic, Leigh Brackett. They talk about her accomplishments and her career, how she wound up on George Lucas’ radar, and ultimately, they go over her first draft of The Empire Strikes Back, which at that point was just called Star Wars 2. They talk about Minch (aka Yoda), the bog planet, the asteroid chase, Luke and Vader’s mediation connection which is similar to The Last Jedi, Lando and how Hoth was Cloud City, levitating fruit, Luke’s dad not being Vader, sister mentioned, the Jedi oath, a very different Clone Wars, Lando as a clone, no Boba Fett or bounty hunters, no Han in carbonite, and many more differences and similarities to ESB. Great episode. If you’ve never read Leigh Brackett’s draft of Empire, then this is a must listen to episode.
