501stCast: Episode 104 covers Force Friday, Hurricane Harvey, troop reports, 501st events, charity work, and Force Friday promotions. They talk about a recent Lucasfilm event they attended at Skywalker Ranch, seeing and talking with Rian Johnson, as well as upcoming events and Dragon Con.

They have some line interviews, they talk about what they were able to get, hitting other stores, the Force Link figure sounds, and listeners chime in on Force Friday II.

Dan also talks with guest Janina Gavankar about Star Wars, her role in Star Wars Battlefront II, getting involved with Inferno Squad novel and how she wound up doing the audiobook. Afterwards Dan talks with guest Safia Minney about Po-Zu and their Star Wars shoes.

Lot of great comic discussions.

Fly Casual: Episode 151 starts with some goofing around and various voices, there’s a porg song in our honor, and then they get to the news. They talk about how The Force Unleashed‘s Starkiller almost became an inquisitor in Star Wars Rebels, the Kenobi movie and the possibilities of a Yoda and Boba Fett movie, and Michael K. Williams being cut from the Han Solo film. Then it’s on to toy news as they talk porgs, Fantasy Flight Games new printing of the old West End Game rule books, the Forces of Destiny Platinum Leia, and Force Friday stuff. However, it doesn’t end there as they double up on this episode to tackle rumors. From Han’s absence being felt in The Last Jedi, to Maz Kanata possibly being in the Han Solo film and the recently revealed vehicles and ships. For hilarity alone, this one is my pick of the week. They are also the new porg champions with a new all time high #PorgCount.

Full of Sith: Episode CCXXXI they talk about Mon Mothma, which in turn leads to some side discussions about Padme, Leia and her memories of her mother, senate gossip, and a comparison between Mon Mothma  and Bail Organa.

Full of Sith: Episode CCXXXII features audio from the Daniel Logan panel at Dragon Con. Daniel talks about getting his own Boba Fett armor, being called into Star Wars: The Clone Wars, how Boba was originally meant to kill Mace Windu in Revenge of the Sith, the story arc for killing Cad Bane, the challenge of voice work and a bunch of other stories.

Kanata’s Castle: Episode 14 talks about the Rey Target commercial, Force Friday stuff (note this is a pre-Force Friday show), new Rey image, and then they discuss Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. They talk about what we know about the character, his backstory, his upbringing, the secret of Vader being his grandfather, being with Luke, his use of the mind probe, and they make an interesting comparison between the King Arthur/sword in the stone mythos and the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Lattes With Leia: Episode 20 starts with cats, drinks and the Star Wars costume exhibit. They talk about Leia’s PhD, then they go over Christie Golden’s Inferno Squad novel. They talk about Iden and her issues with emotions, what’s appealing about her character, the Imperial view of Alderaan, the extremes of both sides, having a picture perfect memory and not being able to forget. They do get into spoilers, so fair warning. It’s a good discussion of the book.

Star Scavengers: Episode 23 starts with Johna’s build of the LEGO Arrowhead, then they review LEGO The Freemaker Adventures season two episode “The Lost Crystals of Qalydon.” They talk about the funny moments, the Lurmen, Derpin and Plumestriker, and their con plans.

Starships Sabers and Scoundrels: Episode 36 unveils some big news – Jay Krebs will be joining them as a permanent third host. I’ve really loved Jay’s contributions to the podcast so far, so this is very cool news. With that out of the way, they talk about other news like Fantasy Flight Games reprinting the West End Games rule book, Michael K. Williams being cut from the Han Solo film, the AT-M6 and the dreadnought, the Kenobi movie news, the latest update on the Sky Stalking segment, and then they talk to Jay about her first time seeing Star Wars and growing up with the franchise. They go over their Force Friday plans, the Star Wars app, thoughts on the return of Star Wars Rebels and upcoming books. They go over comic news, and their viewing plans for The Last Jedi, all of which ties into their theme of what’s coming out in the fourth quarter of this year for Star Wars. Plus there’s a Darth Bane substitute teacher gag that’s pretty funny.

They discuss whether Obi-Wan should leave Tatooine and other Kenobi movie ideas, Snoke and mind control, wipes, the new Rey and Luke images, Donald Glover’s last day of shooting, whether Maz will be in the Han Solo movie, Maz’s role in The Last Jedi, thoughts on The Last Jedi and what could happen.

They talk about streaming services like Netflix, HBO Go, Hulu, Crackle and Starz and highlight movies such as Tango & Cash, Tin Cup, Clear and Present Danger, Krull, and Lord of War. Plus they go over Disney’s recent streaming news, their plans to create their own streaming service, and Netflix trying to renegotiate. Good episode with lots of movie discussion and some nice info on different streaming services.
