Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Blast Points: Episode 81 covers Forces of Destiny, the cancellation of the making of Rogue One book, then they celebrate Ben Burtt. They talk about how he got into movies and the sounds of films, lots of facts and trivia, and their favorite Star Wars sounds. Fun episode.

Brews and Blasters: Episode 126 kicks off with corn starch, winery tours, Star Wars conversations and 4th of July celebrations. Then they get into Forces of Destiny as they watch the first three episodes and provide commentary, and they wrap up with need’em got’em on the S.H. Figuarts Return of the Jedi Luke and the Black Series Royal Guard. Fun episode.

Children of the Force: Episode 75 covers what they’re reading, accents, Hamilton, Star Wars news, the Han Solo directors being fired, Ron Howard being hired, Inferno Squad news, a new joke, and they ponder what story from A New Hope would they tell. Good episode.

Coffee With Kenobi: Episode 74 features guest hosts Scott Murray and Joe Tavano as they join Dan in discussing the Han Solo news. Jim Hill stops by to update everyone on Star Wars land and who will replace Bob Iger. Then they talk Forces of Destiny, Star Wars Rebels season three bonus material, and Dan talks with Deanna about Star Wars perfumes. Good episode.

Comic Book Noob: Doctor Aphra covers the character of Doctor Aphra, her role in the Darth Vader comic series and her own ongoing comic book series. Good episode.

Fauxthentic History: Captain Nemo covers the character beyond what was told in the movie, from the character’s origins, childhood, how he got the name Nemo, his odd behavior, discoveries, and his inevitable fate.

Fly Casual: Episode 144 goes from hot Chex Mix and iZombie to comic reviews. They cover Darth Vader #2, Darth Maul #4, Poe Dameron Annual #1, Doctor Aphra #8 and Poe Dameron #16. Then they talk about Variety‘s new pics, the Tom Hardy Cameo, Ron Howard trolling fans, the Jabba rumor, and they get into some good Lord and Miller jokes. Fun episode.

Full of Sith: Episode CCXXIV kicks off with Bryan and Holly, then they cut to the audio of a panel Bryan did with Zeb voice actor Steve Blum at Salt Lake Gaming Con. Steve talks about how he got started in voice acting and anime, the difference with voicing video games, doing so many characters, finding the voice of Zeb, accents, playing D&D and more. Great panel.

Less Than 12 Parsecs: Guest Host Week #007 features Rob Williams from Generation X-Wing who talks about discovering podcasts, getting into them, and starting his own.

Less Than 12 Parsecs: Guest Host Week #008 features Jason Flatt from Holy Star Wars who talks about fandom stepping up, respecting and caring for each other.

Less Than 12 Parsecs: Guest Host Week #009 features Darth Taxus and friends as they do a little Star Wars bit.

Radio 1138: Episode 65 touches again on the Han Solo movie news, then they break for interviews starting with Alistair Petrie at Collectormania, then Ben Hartley, Gary Keily, Mel Pickup and Natalie Cox at SWFFD. They also talk Forces of Destiny, and they talk with JAKe about the pronunciation of his name. Good episode with lots of great interviews.

Rebel Grrrl: Episode 73 features Amanda and guest co-host Dr. Tashi as they talk about news, Star Wars Rebels, Blu-ray featurettes, Saw, Inferno Squad, Forces of Destiny, Padme and her fate, and details on the other upcoming Star Wars video game that is not Battlefront. Fun episode.

Skytalkers: The Phantom Menace starts with what they’ve been up to, then they begin the discussion of the machete order by first covering The Phantom Menace  in order to see what is missed by skipping it. In part one, they cover the story and their thoughts, which is a nice neutral take that doesn’t bash on the film but isn’t blindly endorsing everything. They analyze the choices of the story, the flaws and strengths, and whether it captures the feeling of Star Wars. In part two, they focus on the characters. From Qui-Gon’s flaws to Padme’s awesomeness. In part three, they cover the documentary, their favorite moments, and what is lost for those who skip the film when following the traditional machete order. Great episode.

Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode 173 covers the Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle event at Universal Studios Hollywood, then they take a deep dive into Cars 3 with Teresa Delgado with a full review of the movie and discussion of the movie.

Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode 174 covers their experience with Trials on Tatooine in IMAX VR, Walt’s Barn, and then they talk about the Clone Wars micro series with guest Drew Kaplan.

Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode 175 includes an audio drop in from the hosts of Blast Points as they talk about the moment that elevated their Star Wars fandom. Then Richard and Sarah talk about the LEGO Freemaker Adventures, then interview the creators of the show, Bill Motz and Bob Roth. Great episode.

Star Wars 7×7: Episode 1092 covers part of Rebel Rising which shows how Jyn wound up in Wobani prison.

Star Wars 7×7: Episode 1099 celebrations Star Wars 7×7’s third anniversary by talking about the podcast and providing an update on Allen’s Star Wars trivia book.

Star Wars 7×7: Episode 1102 covers Forces of Destiny and the backlash.

Talk Star Wars: Episode 77 covers unpopular opinions of Star Wars likes and dislikes, Maz and Luke’s lightsaber, what if Luke killed Vader, cohost Star Wars casting, trailers with scenes no in the final movie, SDCC predictions, and a new feature called “Getting to know your hosts” where they talk about their favorite Star Wars film. Good episode.

Tarkin’s Top Shelf: Episode 15 touches on upcoming books, Starlight, and then they review Greg Rucka’s Guardians of the Whills. Good episode.

Tarkin’s Top Shelf: Episode 16 starts with some movie discussion, then they discuss Beth Revis’ novel Rebel Rising. From Jyn’s scarf possibly being Steela’s, to analysing Saw’s character and getting a better understanding of Jyn, they cover a lot of fun aspects of the book. Good discussion.

Tarkin’s Top Shelf: Episode 17 dives into kyber crystals as they talk about George Lucas’ early ideas for them, their development in Catalyst, the comics, Vader seeing Luke using his lightsaber and the implications there given the crystals affinity to bond with a specific user, and what that might mean for Rey using Luke’s lightsaber. Very interesting discussion. Definitely worth a listen.

TechnoRetro Dads: Zaxxon, Rain, and the Rescuers’ Reign covers miniature golf, jokes, upcoming stuff, Ready Player One, changing characters, the video game Zaxxon, and the movie The Rescuers. Fun episode as always.

TechnoRetro Dads: Burger Time, Birthday Toast Crunch, and Local Conventions starts with a Shua roast, jokes, a Close Encounters of the Third Kind discussion, Top Gun 2, Tremors, new retro gaming system, other news stuff, cereal, the video game Burger Time, listener feedback, and they cover their experiences at Denver Comic Con and Magic Con. Good episode.

The Sandcrawler: Episode 29 starts off with some Hulk Hogan, 4th of July, fireworks and Canada. Then they discuss the Han Solo situation, Forces of Destiny and the first episode, the figures, some other toy talk, customer figures, and collectibles. Good episode. Lots of fun.

The Skyhoppers Podcast: Episode L focuses on Qui-Gon Jinn. They talk about all things Qui-Gon, the web between him, Anakin and Obi-Wan, his focus on the present, and lots of other discussion threads, tangents, and ideas. Fun discussion.
