Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Brews and Blasters: Episode 106 covers a lot of topics, from Bravestar to Bucky O’Hare and the discovery that Bor Gullet might be in Jabba’s Palace. Tons of fun as always with some extra retro tv discussion in this one.

Children of the Force: Episode 59 covers The Last Jedi, book news, Jedha religions and they get into some real world politics.

Classic Marvel Star Wars Comics: Episode 12 starts out with Randy Martinez talking about Star Wars Celebration, then they review Marvel Star Wars #12. Randy clarifies the roles of an inker and penciller, they talk about Luke and his red lightsaber, the visuals and dialog that stands out for better or worse, and they try and draw some Rogue One connections. Fun episode.

Comic Book Noob: Legion is a timely discussion on the character who’s getting a new tv show. I didn’t realize Legion was an X-Men character. They talk about his origin, his powers and it’s a good primer for the tv show.

Fly Casual: Episode 122 reviews Doctor Aphra #3, Star Wars #27, Star Wars Rebels “Warhead,” which leads to a Small Wonder tangent and a connection between Firefly and Rogue One with Tudyk hitting switches. They also review “Trials of the Darksaber” and talk about the Legends of Tomorrow George Lucas episode. Afterwards is their rumors segment, but his one is safe as they gover an article discussing future Star Wars movies and they provide their thoughts on the good and the bad movie ideas. There’s also a Fanboy Y segment on the Inquisitorious. Good episode.

Geek Directive: Bat Tracks & Serenity Sequels features Darth Taxus subbing in for Jeff as they talk about the usual Geek news and dive into some fun games. This leads to some great ideas on what a sequel to Serenity should be like, some tough Star Wars quiz questions, coverage of Rings, Powerless and the LEGO Batman soundtrack. Fun episode.

Geek Out Loud: Episode 206 is a Pass the Corn episode with Steve, Erich and Ethan as they talk movies, movies and more movies. They go over Split without spoiling the twist, they talk about the LEGO Batman movie, John Wick 2, Trainspotting 2, Kong Skull Island, Logan, Power Rangers, Beauty and the Beast, The Fate of the Furious, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, The Mummy, Wonder Woman, Cars 3, Transformers: The Last Knight, Valerian, The Dark Tower, Planet of the Apes, Spider-Man, Blade Runner and more. Great episode covering movies they’ve recently seen and those coming up this year.

Kanata’s Castle: Episode 1 is hosted by Becca Benjamin and Red5Mom Devon Meyers as they talk Han Solo and books news, then get into a full on Luke discussion. With a good discussion and a good show, this one is a great debut. Definitely check this one out. They’re family friendly, have a great love for Star Wars, an interest in the books, and it’s a nice pairing of hosts.

Less Than Twelve Parsecs: Episode 65 is 10 silly Star Wars questions with the hosts of Starships Sabers and Scoundrels, Dennis Keithly and Darth Taxus. Very funny.

Rebel Force Radio: Episode 2.3.2017 they follow up on the buzz from Carrie Fisher’s Oscar wish, they talk Mark Hamill, Josh Gad and Daisy Ridley, and they have on guest Ernie Cline as they talk about VR and geek out on Rogue One with lots of tangents. Fun discussion.

Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode 154 starts off with guest Drew Kaplan as they talk Mandalorians, Maul and Sabine. They cover Star Wars Rebels “Trial of the Darksaber” and the comic Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir. Then they talk with their second guest, Tom Ameen, about his album “Dreams Come True.” They wrap up with a third guest, Tyler Westhause, as they talk about the title of Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. Good episode.

Star Wars 7×7: Episode 943 discusses mind tricks and the bad guys, diving into the instances where the bad guys have used mind powers.

Star Wars 7×7: Episode 945 covers how everything going forward was suppose to be canon, but now we have Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes introducing non-canon elements.

Star Wars 7×7: Episode 948 takes in recent events to tie together the Superbowl and Star Wars with comparing the Patriots to the Empire and the Rebels. Surprisingly enough, they have a lot in common with the Rebels.

Star Wars Report: Episode 260 has a nice interview with voice actor Stephen Stanton and Riley asks him about doing Rogue One and what it was like. Good one to check out.

Starships Sabers and Scoundrels: Episode 21.5 starts with some Star Wars quiz questions, then they review Darth Maul #1 and the Doctor Aphra series.

Talk Star Wars: Episode 57 features a great Christopher Walken review reading. Afterwards they get into Rogue One’s performance in China, the nature of Luke’s hiding and what might happen, music scores that aren’t symphonic, the Force and line of sight, Star Wars Celebration Orlando, Rogue One Blu-ray listing, Episode VIII rumor for Finn, thoughts on the Han Solo movie, and the Nihilus thing with Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. Good episode.

The Sandcrawler: Episode 15 features guest Chris Salton as they talk collecting, collections, opening toys, meeting Star Wars celebs for autographs, favorite collectibles and tons of collecting stories. Fun episode.

Western Reaches: Episode 22 covers books they’re reading, they talk Titanfall 2, Hyper Light Drifter and some other games, and for the main discussion, the cover a novel I’ve never heard of before, Grass by Sheri S. Tepper. It sounds like a pretty wild book and they do a good job of talking about it without spoiling it. Good episode.
