World Fantasy Con announced that author Martha Wells will be the toastmaster at next year’s convention in San Antonio, TX.

Movie & Television News

  • Interesting bit of Rogue One news dropped Wednesday. Composer Alexandre Desplat has been replaced by Michael Giacchino due to scheduling issues following the reshoots.
  • New posters are hitting over seas for Rogue One.

  • Jedi Bibliothek has the titles for the first bunch of Star Wars Rebels Season 3 episodes.
  • One of the voice actors from Star Wars: The Clone Wars confirmed they’ll be coming back in Star Wars Rebels.
  • Now for some trailers. First up, Nocturnal Animals which looks intelligent and intriguing. It’ll be out in November. Quite the colorful cast.

  • This looks like it’s going to be a kick ass war movie – The Siege of Jadotville, and it’s coming to Netflix in October.

  • No release date yet aside from a debut in Toronto, but The Promise looks really good. And hey, it’s got Batman and Poe Dameron in it.

  • I love a good gangster movie and Live By Night looks promising. Ben Affleck is directing and starring in the film which will be out in January.

  • This one takes the cake, though. Free Fire looks hilarious. It’ll be out sometime in early 2017.

  • For Mad Max: Fury Road fans, if you wondered what the stunts looked like without CGI, then here you go. They pretty much did everything for real.
