  • Paul S. Kemp’s Lords of the Sith is already getting a second printing.
  • StarWars.com also has an audio excerpt from Lords of the Sith.
  • John Jackson Miller’s A New Dawn is on sale for just a $1.99 (eBook version) from various retailers.
  • TheForce.Net has interviews with Ultimate Star Wars authors Ryder Windham and Daniel Wallace.
  • Preorders are up for Roger Christian’s upcoming books Cinema Alchemist. Roger was the guy who created the first lightsaber prop, and based on his last interview with RebelForce Radio, this should be a great book.
  • The Rhode Show has a video interview with Ryder Windham covering the new book Ultimate Star Wars.
  • Abel G. Pena has posted his endnotes for SkyeWalkers: A Clone Wars Story.

  • Comicpalooza is May 22 to 25 in Houston, TX. Star Wars guests include Katie Cook, Jason Isaacs, George Takei and Martha Wells (click here for her schedule).
  • Phoenix Comicon is May 28th to 31 in Phoenix, AZ. Star Wars guests include Livio Ramondelli and Kevin Hearne.
  • Supanova is June 18 to 30 in Sydney and Perth. Star Wars guests include Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta.

Fandom News

  • Everyone celebrates Star Wars Day differently, but this is by far the coolest way to celebrate I’ve seen yet. Who needs paint when you have coffee?
  • On the other hand, Laurence Noble sculpted Rey.
  • And one very very cool piece of fandom, one of the extras from A New Hope is in The Force Awakens. Jedi News has the story and the pics.
  • Force For Change is auctioning off the Star Wars Rebels stormtrooper helmets for charity (each artfully crafted).
  • Author Christie Golden is auctioning off a signed copy of Warcraft: War Crimes for charity.
  • Wrapping up the fandom segment with some more artistic love is some wonderful Star Wars paper cut outs done by Marc Hagan-Guirey.
  • Eleven-ThirtyEight has a two part interview with Star Wars author Jason Fry.
  • MSNBC did a segment on Star Wars Celebration Anaheim featuring a lot of clips from the authors (including James Luceno, Christie Golden and John Jackson Miller).
  • Wisconsin Public Radio did a May the Fourth segment with John Jackson Miller you can listen to (or download) here.

Movie & Television News

  • If you haven’t seen them already, and aren’t hardcore about avoiding spoilers, Vanity Fair has an article showcasing some behind-the-scenes and movie stills from The Force Awakens.
  • /Film did an interview with Simon Kinberg covering Star Wars Rebels.
  • Walking Dead update – the spin-off series titled Fear the Walking Dead will debut this summer with six episodes. It will star Cliff Curtis (who plays a divorced teacher), Sean Cabrera and Kim Dickens (who plays a guidance counselor named Nancy who will also be the female lead of the show). Other actors include Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam Carey (Nancy’s children) and Elizabeth Rodriguez and Mercedes Mason. AMC is already committing to two seasons.
  • /Film also posted a press release from Marvel showing who all will be in Captain America: Civil War.
  • Earlier is was reported that Josh Trank will no longer be directing the second Star Wars Anthology film. The Hollywood Reporter has a look at why.
  • EW has a first look at The Hateful Eight.
  • David Ayer revealed the first look at the Suicide Squad.
