  • Author James Luceno did an interview with SciFiNow on Star Wars, Tarkin and the new EU.
  • If you missed the Google Hangout with The Sundering authors, you can check it out here. Lineup includes Star Wars authors Troy Denning, Paul S. Kemp and R.A. Salvatore.
  • Club Jade has an exclusive preview of the upcoming Imperial Handbook showing off some starfighters.
  • Random House has updated their product page for Ian Doescher‘s William Shakespeare’s Star Wars Trilogy: The Royal Imperial Boxed Set. They’ve revealed an image which appears to the poster that will come with the box set, and a tease that the cover will be revealed on October 14th. The set itself will be out on October 28th.


  • If you’d like to win some books, Random House is hosting a book hunt which anyone can enter. Click here for the details. You have until October 12 to enter.
  • For those at NYCC, be sure to check out Joe Corroney and Brian Miller‘s new Tarkin poster which is available for free at the Del Rey booth during their signings.

Movie & Television News

  • If you don’t get the Disney channels and you missed out on the one hour premier of Star Wars Rebels, then you may be in luck. ABC is going to play the one hour “Spark of Rebellion” movie at 7 PM EST on October 26th. For those who have already seen it, you’ll still want to tune in as they including some new scenes including new Darth Vader dialog by James Earl Jones.
  • And if you’re rather just own it, you can buy “Spark of Rebellion” on DVD at Walmart.
  • In other DVD news, you can get the Phineas & Ferb Star Wars Special at Toys R Us on November 11th.
  • Plus Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season Six looks set for a November 11 release.

Toy & Collectible News

  • Hasbro unveiled some new Star Wars items at the night before party for NYCC. Toyark has a really nice roundup you can check out here. For 6″ Black Series collectors, they have images of the upcoming Emperor Palpatine, IG-88, Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper disguise and Princess Leia in Boushh disguise.
  • Sideshow has unveiled their premium format Boba Fett.

Video Game News

  • If you’re tired of all these silly Star Wars phone app games, then it’s time to drool over something really cool: a new Star Wars arcade game, Battle Pod. This is being made by Bandai-Namco. You can check out for more details. Let the hunt begin.
