Here’s this week’s Star Wars podcasts in review.
Assembly of Geeks: The Special Editions Episode features lots of fun Star Wars discussions as they talk about the Special Editions and Ewoks. Their special guest this week is Dan Z. from Coffee with Kenobi. They cover a long list of the changes in the Special Editions of the movies with lots of different opinions from the guests. There’s some really good discussion in this episode and it’s all Star Wars.
Coffee with Kenobi: Episode 7 includes a discussion of the role and rights of fandom and whether writers and filmmakers listen to fans. Plus they cover the latest Star Wars news.
RebelForce Radio:Episode 11.8.2013 includes a rundown of news and rumors plus an interview with Charlie Owen, the Star Wars fan who posted the rare Edit Droid footage of Return of the Jedi. The interview with Charlie is pretty entertaining and it’s cool to hear the story behind the Edit Droid laserdisc.
Rejection Slips: Episode 1 might not covering much in the way of Star Wars, but it does feature hosts Michael A. Stackpole and Aaron Allston, two of the best Star Wars authors out there. They talk about writing, tips for new writers, and a little bit about their own careers.
Star Wars Action News: Episode 409 includes discussion about the December release for Star Wars Episode VII, new Star Wars holiday items, an interview with author Ryder Windham on his new book Death Star Owner’s Technical Manual, toy reports and more. The interview with Ryder covers some nice questions that haven’t been covered elsewhere like what Star Wars items Ryder collects.
Star Wars Bookworms: Episode 15 includes special guest Megan (Knights Archive, FANgirl Blog, Blog Full of Words) as they talk about Dawn of the Jedi: Prisoner of Bogan and Star Wars: In the Shadow of Yavin. Some really nice discussion in this episode and definitely worth a listen.
