Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Bombad Radio: Episode 90 has audio of the David Prowse (Darth Vader)/Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) Panel from Salt Lake City Con. The audio is a little rough, but still listenable. Both David and Peter had some fun stuff to say. The panel was also moderated by Bryan Young who did a good job with the questions.

Coffee with Kenobi: It took me a while to catch up, but I finally got around to listening to Episode #5 which includes a discussion about the Expanded Universe and how different fans define it. As a hardcore EU fan, I always get a little riled up when people start talking about the EU and what think is and isn’t canon, and their ideas on personal canon. To each their own, but blast it, I love it all :) Certainly a good episode to spur discussion.

Curto Burns Collectors Cast: The September 13, 2013 Episode has a nice interview with Steve Sansweet with full discussion of Rancho Obi-Wan’s Guinness World Record accomplishment. They cover how it came about, what it involved, and the future of Rancho. Very nice episode.

ForceCast: Episode 269 features special guest Bonnie Burton and Christian Blauvelt for the entire episode. Bonnie had quite a bit to say and I have to admit, it was a pretty entertaining episode. Worth a listen. Fair warning though, they get into Star Trek: Into Darkness spoilers.

Full of Sith: Has a Special Release Episode with Steve Sansweet covering Rancho Obi-Wan’s induction into the Guinness Book of World Records. Mike was absent for this one, but Bryan and Consetta co-host. Always fun to hear what Steve has to say.

RebelForce Radio: The 9.13.2013 Episode features great audio of the Marigold Festival which had Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actors Tom Kane and Daniel Logan. Tom does some fun voices and they both talk about the voice acting business and the show. Daniel also talks a little bit about being in Episode II and some fun memories on set. Really entertaining episode.

Speculate!: Episode 83 has an interview with author Martha Wells. Unfortunately they don’t talk too much about her upcoming book Empire and Rebellion: Razor’s Edge. A lot of the focus is on Worldcon.

Star Wars Action News: Episode 404 has coverage of ICE (International Collector’s Event), a special multi-location convention that took place in Seattle showcasing dozens of private Star Wars collections. It was kind of neat to hear about the convention, how they set it up, and what it was like. They also sat down and talked with Steve Sansweet who was of course at the event.

Episode 405 includes an On the Pegs segment, a report from Steve the Ginger Prince in the UK, and a very nice interview with Kenobi author John Jackson Miller. SWAN also mentions that they’re going to be cutting back to biweekly podcasts instead of doing one every week. Great episode for Kenobi fans.

Star Wars Book Worms: Episode 11 has their audio of the Intro to the Expanded Universe Panel at Dragoncon 2013. You may have heard this already at Tosche Station, but this is actually a much cleaned up version.

Star Wars Report: Episode 104 continues their coverage of Dragoncon with some Battlestar Galactica coverage. They have an interview with Richard Hatch and Kandyse Mcclure with some highlights from the Battlestar Galactica Panel. Even though I’m not a fan of Battlestar Galactica (haven’t watch the show yet), the interviews were still interesting to listen to.

Episode 105 will be more on par with Star Wars fans as it has an interview with Daniel Logan that’s worth a listen. They also have an interview with Liam Mcintyre from the Showtime series Sparticus. While I haven’t seen that show, the interview was really interesting. Liam sounded like a really nice guy.

Temple Archives: Episode 75 is a special episode commemorating Star Wars author Ann Crispin who passed away last week. They feature an unreleased interview they conducted with her on her Pirates of the Caribbean book, they share their stories of Ann, and they feature some listener comments as well. Very nice episode. We will all definitely miss Ann.
