Fandom

StarWars.com has some cool articles worth checking out. Tim Veekhoven and Mark Newbold wrote up a cool piece on real life animals in the Star Wars movies. Jennifer Heddle wrote a piece in defense of the Marvel comics. Tim also did another post on creatures in Star Wars, this time focusing on Return of the Jedi.

Misc

Star Wars author Tim Lebbons is now officially an Ironman after swimming 2.4 miles, cycling 112 miles, then running 26.2 miles all with no breaks and in a 17 hour time limit. Tim managed to do it in 14 hours and 12 minutes and recounted the entire experience right here. I think it’s safe to say that Tim is now a Jedi. The Force is certainly with him.

Movies and Television

There’s a trailer out for the Star Wars Downunder fan film. You can check out their official site here.

You can also check out another fan film Hunt for the Holocron and their official site.

Harrison Ford shares a little about Anchorman 2 which will be out in December.

Thanks to Jedi News for spotting that one.

Toys

Wrapping up the news for this week, Leland Chee, the keeper of the holocron, now has a Hasbro action figure. The figure was made specifically by Hasbro, thus marking their first original contribution to Star Wars since the cruisemissile trooper released in 1998. The new character is named Selig Kenjenn and is based on Leland’s likeness. It’s a Toys R Us exclusive and part of the Battle of Geonosis: Jedi Knights Pack.
