urlWith the release of Taken 2, many were skeptical about the possibility of a third installment in the Liam Neeson-led series of action movies. The first Taken was a surprise hit at the box office in 2008 with over $200 million worldwide, and received glowing reviews.  Taken 2, however, got mixed reviews but made even more at the box office, with over $300 million.

Liam Neeson commented on the possibility of Taken 3 during the release of the second film in 2012, and said he did not believe it would happen. Nor did he feel that the concept of his family being taken was feasible a third time around. However, the actor seems to have changed his mind as Deadline is reporting that Liam Neeson will once again star as Brian Mills in Taken 3. Why, you ask? It appears he will be receiving a $20 million paycheck to return.

I’m sure many of you are more than skeptical about Taken 3, especially after the second film was met with middling reviews, but I urge you to wait and see. After all, this is Qui-Gon Jinn we’re talking about. I’m sure he’ll keep us entertained.

Taken 3 is being written by Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, and production if expected to start in February.
