The big news this was the announcement of a new Star Wars book in The Jedi Path/The Book of Sith line that will focus on the bounty hunters. Called The Bounty Hunter Code: From the File of Boba Fett, this deluxe edition comes in the shape of a briefcase, includes extra goodies and covers info on bounty hunting with notes from the pros like Boba, Dengar, Bossk and more. Idle Hands posted a really nice write up with lots of pictures, plus Amazon has it up for pre-order. Unlike the previous books in this series, Daniel Wallace will be joined by two other authors: Ryder Windham and Jason Fry. The book is certainly in good hands.

LucasBooks editor Jen Heddle has also been tweeting a lot of lit news lately. She’s been reading the manuscripts for Maul: Lockdown by Joe Schreiber and The Star Wars by J.W. Rinzler. Some fun notes about The Star Wars: there’s a pilot character called Mace and Leia has a brother named Windy. Definitely going to be an interesting read.

Elsewhere in manuscript news, Empire and Rebellion: Honor Among Thieves (the upcoming Han Solo novel by James S.A. Corey) has also been sent off to the publishers.

Also in book news, Kevin J. Anderson has started a new series called The Dragon Business which will appear on Amazon as an eBook serial, much like John Jackson Miller’s Overdraft: The Orion Offensive. The first chapters of The Dragon Business should be showing up in October.

Randy Stradley teased a picture from the next arc of Dark Times. It seems Lt. Gregg will be showing up in A Spark Remains.

Author Aaron Allston has posted his full schedule for Origins Game Fair which starts next week in Columbus, OH. Aaron will be there along with authors Timothy Zahn and Michael A. Stackpole.

Star Wars artist Dave Dorman had some comic news this week. He’ll be working on a new President Obama cover for the comic series The Other Dead. It seems President Obama is a major character in this zombie series. Having already seen Abraham Lincoln fighting vampires, I have to admit it would be funny to see President Obama fighting zombies.

And just a reminder, Dave Dorman is trying to reach 10,000 likes on his Wasted Lands page. Be sure to stop by and give it a like.

Author Kevin Hearne has posted his final book tour schedule for Hunted (which comes out June 25). Kevin will also be doing a Google Hangout today at 3 PM ET.

USA Today has a nice write up on Kathleen Kennedy for those who are interested.

Gamers with iPads will be happy to know that Knights of the Old Republic is now available for them.

In recent interviews, author Ty Franck (one half of the James S.A. Corey duo) did on with Amazing Stories covering The Expanse series. Sadly they did not touch upon his upcoming Han Solo book.

Unfortunately there has been some sad news this week. For starters, I learned that Mara Jade model Shannon McRandle is battling cancer. Then yesterday Princess Leah passed away. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected.

However in some good news, Zach Klassen, whose parents were struggling to get funding for medication for Zach’s Disease (CASR Gene Mutation – Genetic HypoPARAthyroidism), has finally managed to secure insurance coverage for his medical costs. Zach’s parents were able to persuade their medical insurance company to cover the cost of his medication. They posted a letter of thanks to Trench Run Rebels and all the Star Wars fans for their support. Mission success.
