to all the folks at CVI who are busy tweeting the news so those of us who can’t be there know what’s going on as soon as you do, a very big thank you.  There’s too many of you to name individually, but you know who you are, and your efforts are much appreciated.

As You Wish Foundation: for their very cool charity event for Make-A-Wish: 20 mobbed Boba Fett helmets that will be displayed at CVI and then auctioned off on the Make-A-Wish eBay store.  If you’re not in Orlando right now, you can get a look at the helmets over on Syfy’s Blastr.  You can find out more on As You Wish Foundation Facebook.

Nasa: for designating the site where Curiosity landed on Mars as Bradbury Landing in honor of scifi author, Ray Bradbury.  The announcement was made Wednesday on Bradbury’s 92nd birthday.

Whoever Came Up With This Costume At CVI:

What’s not to love about an Artoo-Bender mashup?
