There has been a lot of buzz around this series and most of it is definitely worth it; but after finishing issue #2 I really hope a lot more people have stuck around for this series.  After the break you can read my thoughts of what is turning out to be one heck of a cool read.

BEWARE HEAVY SPOILERS!!!

I’m not going to lie, I knew Boba Fett wasn’t dead and I think almost every other fan knew that as well.  What I didn’t expect was to actually care what happened to him and why.  Tom Taylor has definitely piqued my interest in this series with the second issue, and Chris Scalf’s artwork has made this a definite homerun.

Being a notorious bounty hunter would lead to being hated enough to put a squad out on you for a hit, but why did it happen?  How did Fett manage to piss this guy off so much?  We don’t know yet but I’m positive that Tom will make the story worth while.

In the meantime we have Boba Fett rescuing Conner and fixing him up with the help of Doctor Evazan!!  That’s right Evazan makes a glorious appearance in this issue and it’s freaking awesome!  We learn how Fett “survived” a blaster bolt to the head and we return to Concord Dawn.  Fett sends Connor off to make sure nothing happens to Sintas Vel, while Fett tracks down the person who hired the hit squad.  For now both Connor and Fett have to remain “dead” to the galaxy

In a very adorable scene Connor is captured by Ailyn Vel and her mother and we are left with a killer cliffhanger for issue#2.  This issue had everything thing in it that I wanted to see plus more.  In a series where you kill off a movie character you tend to run into risky territory but Tom has handled the challenge with amazing talent and skill.  I easily give this issue a 5 out 0f 5 brass bikinis!
