Kinect Star Wars Update
December 26, 2011 at 8:14 am | Posted in Speculation, Video Games | Leave a commentTags: kinect star wars
So what happened to Kinect Star Wars? Back in August, Microsoft announced that the game would be postponed from it’s original release date of December 31, 2011 to “beyond holiday 2011.” Being Christmas, some fans might have gotten some gift cards and could be eager to get an idea of just how long they’ll have to wait. The general forecast right now looks to be June 2012. Both Walmart and Target have a release date of June 1, 2012 for Kinect Star Wars currently listed on their websites. Amazon also has that release date, but for the Kinect Star Wars console bundle. Walmart has their bundle with a July 1st release. However, not all of the stores are on the same page with the date. Kmart is the most optimistic of all with a February 7, 2012 release.
Regardless of when the game does come out, if you’re planning on getting the bundle (which includes Star Wars Kinect, Kinect Adventures, the R2-D2 themed Xbox 360 console, the C-3PO themed wireless remote controller, Kinect sensor, wired headset, and a 320GB hard drive) the price is going to run you $449.99 without discounts. If the release turns out to be in June, that should give you enough time to save up.

The Prima Games TOR Talent Calculator: A Quick Guide and Review
December 22, 2011 at 4:26 pm | Posted in Miscellaneous | 1 CommentOne of the trickier (and nerve wracking) parts about The Old Republic is building your character’s skill tree. What’s the best way to lay out your available skill points to best navigate through the tree? How many points will I have left over if I go through this route? If you back yourself into a corner, you’re either stuck or you’re going to wind up shelling out credits to start over. It would be awfully nice to simulate your way through the skill tree and, thankfully, Prima Games has provided a very useful free tool to help you do just that.

New Darth Plagueis Excerpt

Star Wars Books has posted Darth Plagueis mini-excerpt #6:
“Where the Neimoidians should be grateful to Senator Palpatine for proposing the summit, they are instead furious. Everything is in place for launching the blockade.”
“Almost everything,” Plagueis said. “First, there is the matter of our revenge.”
“Shall I task Maul to pay Veruna a visit?”
Plagueis shook his head. “I intend to see to him personally. Is the Zabrak— Maul, as you call him— capable of dealing with Alexi Garyn and his Vigos?”
“He will not fail us.”
You can check out all the previous excerpts here: mini-excerpt #1, #2, #3, #4, and chapter 1, #5, and the audio excerpt.

December 22, 2011 at 8:30 am | Posted in Reviews | 1 CommentThere are very few sequels that can surpass their predecessors in the film industry, but Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows does just that.
