Of Limited Loyalty is the second novel in Michael A. Stackpole’s colonial-fantasy series The Crown Colonies. The 352 page over sized paperback will be released on December 6, 2011 by Night Shade Books. You can pre-order it here on Amazon or here on Barnes & Noble.

Once again, the cover blends together a classical military painting with a noticeable touch of fantasy. Makes you wonder what the Revolutionary War would have been like if George Washington had a dragon. I personally can’t wait to see how this fantastic series continues.

If you haven’t read the first book in the series, At the Queen’s Command, I highly recommend checking it out.

Somewhere on the first floor was an amplified voice saying something I couldn’t quite make out. Then there was the distinct sound of someone humming the Imperial March.
