If you’re looking to hang out with some Star Wars guests for Free Comic Book Day/May the 4th Be With You, here’s some ideas for you to check out.
- Aaron Allston will be at Dragon’s Lair Comics & Fantasy in Austin, TX from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.
- Jeffrey Brown will be at The Book Cellar in Chicago, IL for the Vader’s Little Princess Launch Party from 3:00-4:00 PM.

The Pith Lords Strike Back

Whether you’re heading to Star Wars Celebration VI or not, this is some funny stuff. Dark Horse Editor Randy Stradley and Star Wars author Ryder Windham will be attending CVI and have announced a pith helmet contest!
“So, this is happening at Celebration: Ryder Windham and I are inviting others to bring and wear pith helmets during the show. No, sorry, this will not automatically make you a Pith Lord. However, you WILL have fun, and Ryder and I (the actual Pith Lords) are trying to come up with some way to reward you spirit of adventure and your very sensible headgear.” -Randy Stradley
What is a pith helmet? Well it’s one of those funny British helmets you see them wearing in the jungle. If you’re planning on joining in the festivities, be sure to let Randy know on Facebook as he’s asking who all will be wearing a pith helmet and if anyone would be interested in buying one at the convention.

Star Wars Books posted an update today on their San Diego Comic Con 2012 plans. In addition to the panel they have scheduled, there will also be author and artist signings at their table. Authors Troy Denning, Christie Golden, Ryder Windham, and Jason Fry will be there along with artists Stephan Martiniere, John VanFleet, Dave Seeley, Drew Baker, Jason Palmer, and Bruno Werneck who were all featured in The Essential Guide to Warfare.
