Filoni: Abrams,Ahsoka and the Bonus Content
April 30, 2013 at 10:00 am | Posted in JJ Abrams, Star Wars, Television, The Clone Wars | Leave a commentTags: ahsoka, dave filoni, plo koon, Sifo-Dyas, usa today
In an exclusive to USA Today, Dave Filoni discusses TCW and the upcoming bonus content, particularly a tease regarding Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas and a Plo Koon arc.
“The Jedi have been fighting a war with an army that was commissioned by one of their own, Jedi Master Syfo-Dias, but who was Syfo-Dias, and what happened to him? The dark lord of the Sith has woven an intricate web to ensnare the Jedi, but it is not full-proof and sometimes a small clue, and a bit of chance, can lead to the unraveling of the best-laid plans.”
Filoni and his team are putting the final touches on the bonus content and he admits that it’s “bittersweet”, but they’re also pretty excited.
”They are easily some of the best things we were able to do, and I think we’re all glad we were able to finish them.”
Dave Filoni also has some advice for director JJ Abrams — be innovative.
“That’s kind of what we have that’s special, because we grew up with it, and if there’s one thing I learned from George it’s that you take that and you channel it forward into new exciting things the audience didn’t know possible, because that’s what Star Wars always did — it always moved forward.”

When initially announced, The Clone Wars: Episode Guide was going to have the first 100 episodes, however now it will have all 108 episodes from all five seasons. This is good news for fans and obviously it makes a lot of sense. Written by Jason Fry, you can look forward to this hardcover which hits stores June 3rd. Pre-orders are up on Amazon at a pretty cheap price, too.

We attended the fun at Planet Comicon in Kansas City, MO this years and I have to say, it was a blast. The two day event had a lot of guests including quite a few people from Star Wars. Geralyn and I browsed the con floor, talked with some of the celebrities and attended a few panels. For those who were not able to attend, you can find our coverage below. Bombad Radio Interviews Tom Kane of TCW
March 28, 2013 at 8:04 am | Posted in Interview, Star Wars, Television, The Clone Wars | 1 CommentTags: the clone wars season 6, tom kane, Yoda
Bombad Radio did a nice podcast interview with The Clone Wars voice actor Tom Kane who voices Yoda, Admiral Yularen and does the narration. Tom revealed some pretty interesting things about Yoda, like a Yoda arc for The Clone Wars Season 6 which managed to get George Lucas to reveal a tiny bit of the backstory for the mysterious Jedi master as well as shedding some light on communing with Qui-Gon. Tom did mention that there might be a chance that they’ll finish that arc for a bonus content release, so let’s all keep our fingers crossed as it sounded like a really awesome episode arc. Click here to listen to the full interview. Note it kicks in pretty fast after a little news and introductory matter from the hosts.

Conspiracy Report: What Will Disney Cancel Next?
March 25, 2013 at 9:09 am | Posted in Conspiracy Report, Disney, Entertainment, Episode VII, Humor, Movies, Opinion, Regular Feature, Star Wars, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Television, The Clone Wars, Video Games | 2 Comments
We live in interesting times. Star Wars Episode VII is on the distant horizon with a pile of Star Wars films behind it. And then there’s this mouse going around throwing away all our toys while we’re distracted. The 3D re-releases, Star Wars 1313, Detours, The Clone Wars…it’s enough to drive a distraught Hutt swan-diving into the nearest sarlacc.
As any good conspiracist, we’re focusing all our immense wealth and resources (two refurbished mouse droids and a for-hire Gamorrean private eye who works for food) on what the mouse plans to target next. So, we called up our inside source Pluto to find out what Disney will cancel next. You won’t believe what we found out.
According to good old Pluto, the house of mouse has a list of items they’re crossing off one by one. While we’ve already seen quite a few projects marked off already, there are still five high priorities left for the trash bin. Continue Reading Conspiracy Report: What Will Disney Cancel Next?…
TCW Bonus Content Update
March 24, 2013 at 12:13 pm | Posted in News, Rumor, Star Wars News, Television, The Clone Wars | Leave a comment
Say it aint so! According to Eric Gellar on TheForce.Net, the bonus content for what’s left of The Clone Wars might end up being only two story arcs.
A source in the know tells me that Lucasfilm is only finishing two story arcs from the material that they had planned for The Clone Wars Season Six. Among the story arcs that will not emerge in this post-cancellation era is one that dealt with Boba Fett and the other bounty hunters who have menaced the heroes for several seasons. This story arc, which my source tells me was almost done, would have shown us the fates of Cad Bane and Aurra Sing.
I need some positive news before I plunge off into the rancor pit. Someone send me some Ewoks.
