It was recently revealed that a new Star Wars cover artist will be joining the Legacy team for Legacy Volume 2 #6. Livio Ramondelli, however, is no stranger to Star Wars. One look at his deviantART page and you’ll quickly notice some Star Wars pieces.

Star Wars Storyboards: The Prequel Trilogy comes out today from Abrams Books. Edited by J.W. Rinzler and with an introduction by Star Wars storyboard and concept artists Iain McCaig, the book is a 352 page hardcover that collects the best storyboards from Episode I, II and III. Halo Sketches by Mike Hawthorne

Dark Horse Comics artist Mike Hawthorne posted some cool Halo sketches he did at part of early tryout for the upcoming Halo: Initiation mini-series.

“Months ago I was in talks with Dark Horse to draw the comic. I already had several projects on my plate, from both publishers in the US and France, so the timing was really bad for me. It didn’t work out for several reasons, but it was fun to take a shot at the characters.

I have to admit, I’ve never played the game. So it took a lot of sketching to get familiar with the HALO characters. Here were some of the final designs I did.” -Mike Hawthorne

Star Wars Books has revealed the cover for Martha Wells’ upcoming Leia novel, Empire and Rebellion: Razor’s Edge. The story will be set 2 years after A New Hope and will be released in hardcover, digital and audio book formats in October 2013.

Details on ‘Halo: Initiation #1′

As announced earlier this week, Dark Horse Comics is going to do a Halo comic mini-series called Halo: Initiation. The series will be written by Brian Reed and the art will be done by Marco Castiello, who pencilled Knight Errant: Escape and Purge: The Tyrant’s Fist. 

Before she was a supersoldier defending humanity as part of the Spartan-IV program, Sarah Palmer was an ODST—Orbital Drop Shock Trooper—carrying out the most dangerous missions behind enemy lines! See how she became the first Spartan-IV commander in this must-read series for fans of Halo 4 and the Halo franchise!

Suvudu has revealed the cover for Children of Fire, Drew Karpyshyn’s upcoming fantasy novel. They’ve also included a 13 page excerpt from chapter nine. You can check it out here.
