A Look at ‘Hard Targets #2′

Artist Stephane Roux has posted the cover for Agent of the Empire: Hard Targets #2 on his blog (which we got a first look at in May). He shares some details about the characters and their design with some nice early drafts of the cover.
Here is a glimpse at the upcoming one. The Pirate girl had to have a UK TV series ” the Avengers’ Emma Peel “ look. And the bearded guy and ” Alan Rickman in Prince of Thieves ” kinda look. I think he’s related, in the story, to the Count Dooku Lineage. So I tried to inject a little bit of that too. Yet, some people think I drew myself in the picture. Go figure.

Wisconsin State Journal Interviews John Jackson Miller

The Wisconsin State Journal posted an interview with Star Wars author and comic writer John Jackson Miller that covers his upcoming novel Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories, as well as some general sci-fi stuff.
Is there one character from “Star Wars” that you identify with?
JJM: From the movies? I always liked Lando. When I did the “Knights of the Old Republic” comic series, the two main characters were a young Jedi student accused of a crime he didn’t commit and this little alien con artist guy who involves him in all sorts of swindles. That allowed us to reimagine “Star Wars” as like the movie “The Sting.” I guess I can trace that swindler character back to Han Solo and Lando Calrissian being shady types who end up becoming heroes in spite of themselves.
