As announced at San Diego Comic Con 2012, author Troy Denning will be returning to Star Wars with Crucible, a post-Fate of the Jedi standalone hardcover novel set one year after Apocalyspe.
“Han, Luke, and Leia are back in action–older and wiser, but as ready as ever to leap headlong into adventure!
Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia have spent a lifetime fighting wars, bringing the Jedi back from extinction, raising families, and saving the galaxy more times than they can count. They’ve earned the right to rest on their laurels and let the younger generation shoulder the burden–but fate has another adventure in store for our heroes, a quest only they can tackle and hope to survive…” -Star Wars Books
The cover art, while not final, is by Cliff Nielsen and designed by Scott Biel. Right now Crucible is slated for release on February 19, 2013 and is listed as 256 pages.
Jennifer Heddle commented at SDCC 2012 that Crucible would be “a landmark event for the trio that would forever change them.”
